It's going to take longer than I thought to rewire Rubberslug. Maybe two months or so of actual working days (which, if you know me, may translate into a Very Long Time).However, there is pressing need to post non-cel type things. So this will do for now.For the moment, I'll make available a half-complete early 2.0 prototype of the new engine. It displays photos in an album style. Eventually, everything on this site will run on a similar system that will allow you to nest catagories, move them around, automatically store different versions of uploaded images, etc.The catch is that it's very incomplete. There's a complicated reason for that that I won't go into.What you should know:- it's been a while since i've touched this. I don't even remember what parts of it were finished. - it will occasionally crash in really nasty ways. if all else fails, restart browser and log back in.- you can add photos, nest catagories, and rearrange things- you can't attach any types of descriptions or such to the photos you upload yet.- album renaming not implemented in interface (it'll be called "photo album")- arranging how you want the things to display not implemented. I hacked up a quick photo album viewer. You'll see it in your gallery.- Album uploads will not flag as gallery updates. This is by design, naturally.
- This may be wiped at anytime. I will almost certainly delete all albums when I finish the new version of the engine. Do not store anything you care about in the album. It is for temporary storage only. Realistically, everything should stay in here for at least the next month.And if you managed to read to the bottom, congrats. You get a cookie:
